Green Tea Limeade is a refreshing fusion of earthy green tea and zesty lime, sweetened with honey and enhanced by fragrant lime zest. Perfect for hot days or a healthy pick-me-up, this drink combines the cultural richness of green tea with the bright, tangy flavors of limeade.

Ingredients

  • 4 cups water

  • 2 tablespoons loose green tea

  • 1/4 cup honey

  • 5 limes juiced

  • 1 zest of lime

  • for serving, lime wedges

  • ice cubes

Directions

  • Brew the Green Tea:
    Heat 4 cups of water to just below boiling. Remove from the heat and add the loose green tea and lime zest to the water. Steep for 5 minutes. Strain the tea into a pitcher to remove the tea leaves and zest. Stir in honey while the tea is still warm. Let it cool to room temperature.
  • Add Lime Juice and Chill:
    Add fresh lime juice to the cooled green tea. Stir well to combine. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour or until thoroughly chilled.
  • Serve:
    Serve over ice. Garnished with lime wedges and fresh mint leaves if desired.
