THE NIGHTSHADES

Service @ Seven is an intimate, single-seating blind tasting menu hosted at a TBA location in Atlanta. Volume 05 is a hyper-focused study on the Solanaceae family, exploring the dark, savory, and umami-heavy profiles of late-summer nightshades. Tomatoes, eggplants, peppers, and potatoes pushed far beyond their expected boundaries.

THE CONCEPT

Late July in Atlanta is heavy and inescapable. As the local agriculture responds to that stress, we are pivoting away from the bright, volatile profiles of early summer to focus entirely on the deep, savory weight of the nightshade family. Tomatoes, eggplants, peppers, and potatoes.

Anticipate highly technical manipulations of peak-season umami. We are bypassing the expected brightness of summer produce, leaning instead into smoke, slow extraction, and intense concentration. The goal is to pull the absolute maximum depth from the harvest, treating familiar vegetables with the same reverence and weight usually reserved for heavy proteins.

Bring your preferred bottles to pair. We will handle the architecture of the table.

Common Inquiries

Can I attend by myself?

Absolutely. Booking a solo seat is highly encouraged and a very common way to experience our table. Service @ Seven is intentionally structured around a singular communal setup, making it seamless to connect with fellow guests throughout the evening.

Is there a seating chart?

Yes. There is a meticulously curated seating arrangement designed for the room. If you are purchasing tickets separately from a partner or friend and wish to be grouped together, please coordinate your names using our support channel prior to the event date.

How does the BYOB dynamic work for this menu?

We provide glassware and curate the structural pacing, but the bottles are up to you. Since this volume leans heavily into umami, smoke, and savory tomato and pepper profiles, we recommend bringing earthy, structured reds, skin-contact orange wines, or dry, high-acid whites to cut through the richness.
